What we pray to achieve

To complement each family’s effort to lay down a spiritual foundation that, in God’s timing, will lead each child into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

This Children’s Ministry Team works together to provide Bible-based, purposeful curriculum and dynamic programming to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of our children here at Pickering Street.

Children’s ministry is an investment with guaranteed return. When we invest in children, we are investing in the future in every way imaginable and that investment is exponential because it is eternal.

Your Job

Too often we rely on the preacher, Sunday school teacher, or youth leader to be the primary spiritual influence for our kids. The problem is we only spend, at most, two hours a week at church. What about the other 165 hours? Going to church on Sunday is important, but the greater importance is Jesus being the center of our homes everyday.

Deuteronomy 6:5-7 commands dads and moms to take everyday opportunities to impress God’s Word upon the hearts of their children. This scripture and many others are foundational to raising spiritual champions for Christ.
